Trail Administrators Report
Mark Debitetto reports that the club has been approved for GIA amounts of 900.00 for plowing the Canoe King Parking Lot and 16,008.00 for Grooming for the 2010/2011 season.
Trail Masters:
Tamworth/Wonalancet Section:
Dave Bowles reports that he is working on the Bartons Trail and walked areas with Mike Weeks. Barton’s Trail permissions from the State have been OK’d and private landowners permissions are in place. Signage in some areas, mainly fields in Wonalancet and Sandwich Intervales still need to be set up. There are still trails that need to be gone thru to check for blow downs and general inspection. Joe and Jen Sheehan have been checking and clearing trails in the Tamworth and Wonalancet areas.
Ossipee/Effingham Section:
Joe Sheehan reports that Corridor 19 looks good. Signs have been erected. Some of the new signs have been erected by John Rowe and Mark Debitetto. The washout that happened near Boulder Rd in Madison has been filled in. Butch from Cotton Valley RR with help from many folks got that done.
Effingham Trails have all signage installed. All trails have been checked and cleared of blowdowns.
Effingham Section new trail is to be flagged by Rich Buswell. There after it is to be walked by Mike Weeks (Section Supervisor NH Trials Bureau) for a viewing. Rich Buswell is to keep paperwork moving thru Effingham Offices. A Special Use Permit is needed for the plan to go thru. A week is about the maximum the club can wait because the available RTP Grant is due for what ever projects the OVSC plan to apply for.
Old Business:
The new 50’ bridge over Paugus Stream is still in progress. The north approach ramp and railings still need to be constructed.
New Business:
A check was received by the club for the time Carl Grenier worked at the Grass Drags. The amount was for $307.50
Discussion of carpentry tools that the club will have to purchase. These tools are needed so that the club does not depend on members tools all the time.
Discussion of the money owed to members that lent funds to get the groomer barn roof installed. Mitch Gordon says that when the money comes in from reimbursements that are owed by the state that these members will be paid what they are due.
Skip Christenbury proposes a new event coordinator position. This position will allow someone that has the desire to come up with ideas for club activities. Then to schedule, set up, and operate events.

Discussion of SnoX upcoming in January. The word is out that volunteers are needed. The club will continue to send out Constant Contacts to club members with regard to this need. Some members in attendance plan to be available during the SnoX to help out.

Trail Administrators Report
Charlie Tupper reports that $5,500 in groomer grant money has come in. Due to lack of grooming hours anticipated this will be the last of this seasons trail grooming funds to be received.
Trail Masters:
Ossipee Section:
Jim Clancy reports that grooming has ended in the Ossipee Section
Tamworth/Wonalancet Section:
Dave Bowles reports that Wonalancet and Tamworth still have ridable sections. Dave has been out cutting many blow downs from the last storm.
Effingham Section:
No Trail Report. Mark Galloway says he will try to get together with Richard Buswell to try and help with that section and the trail to Seven Lakes.
Old Business:
Chocorua Sled Dog Race that had been rescheduled has been cancelled due to the weather not cooperating.
Dave Bowles has been in touch with Brenda at GIA to see if we will be able to get funding for the trail and bridge work that is planned in the National Forest section of our trail system. IE Paugus Trail Bridges.
Discussion of pricing of materials for 2 50’ bridges on the Bolles Trail. 12’ bridge on the Bowles Cutt-off. And other bridge maintenance projects.
Dave met with the Staples family about crossing there land with the Barton’s Trail. They will not give permission. Dave is continuing with other route possibilities.
New Business:
Jim Clancy has announced that he is stepping down from the Ossipee Section Trailmaster position effective at the end of this season.
Charlie Tupper has announced that he is stepping down from the Trail Administrators position effective at the end of this summer.
Discussion of the cost of the tax bill for the new groomer barn. President Bowles figures that the taxes will be around $150.00 per year.
Also the club will have to enter a formal agreement with the land owner for the use of the land that the groomer barn is located on.
Discussion of getting the groomers under cover for the summer.

John Rowe reports that as of this date:

Savings Account Balance is $487.71
Note: Much of this money goes to the Fish and Game Dept and the NHSA. Estimated balance after these two entities are paid is 7,000.00

Trail Administrators Report
$16,008 has been granted for use by OVSC this year.
$5024.53 Request has been sent in for grooming expenses so far this season.
159 Grooming hours performed so far this season.
Trail Masters:
Ossipee Section:
Dave Bowles attended the Effingham selectman’s meeting and the Conservation Committee meeting that took place the week after. A letter of recommendation from the Selectmen was sent to the Conservation Committee to allow use of a small portion of conservation land to be used for a snowmobile trail.
At the conservation meeting the OVSC request was heard. The Conservation Committee is reviewing the information. Meetings will continue.
Tamworth/Wonalancet Section:
Dave Bowles reports that the Barton Trail is still in process on the White Lake SP section. 3 more landowners have given permission to access the Bowles Trail from the North side of the power line. All permissions of the access land must be in place before the State can approve a Special Use Permit for the White Lake SP section.
Effingham Section:
No Trail Report
Old Business:
Effingham section RTP Grant request has not been applied for due to all permissions and paperwork were not available within the time frame required.
Chocorua Sled Dog Race has been rescheduled for March 13 and 14.
Dan Agenta received permission for unofficial use of the private property access trail from Deer Cove to Corridor 19.
IRS Business-Mitchell Gordon has forwarded all the information requested by the CPAs office. There will be a one time $800.00 filing fee for a non-profit designation to the IRS.
We are awaiting the final information from the CPAs office.
New Business:
A motion to donate 250.00 dollars to Easter Seals.

Mitchell Gordon and Dave Bowles have selected OVSC items (hats, shirts, maps etc) for the OVSC Raffle Basket for the Sled In.
Discussion of the Bolles Trail Upgrades that the club would like to make. 2 50’ steel bridges and, 1 12’ widening of a current bridge and a 40’ for the Paugus Trail also some widening of the current trail for access by large grooming equipment.
